To install SDFax, you will need to copy several files to various locations of your System Folder on your Macintosh's hard drive.
 SDFax and SDFaxSpooler must be
copied to the Extensions folder. |
 The rpValidate Control Panel
should be placed in your Control Panel folder, or you can
place it in your Apple Menu Items folder. (or on the
desktop, or anywhere else that is convenient) |
Select the Chooser item from the Apple menu. To the left will be a list of icons for various printers and servers. Select the SDFax icon. Click on the Registration item and then the Setup button.
A dialog will appear as shown to the right. You will need to configure several items from this dialog; these are discussed on the following page of this documentation. Click on the Register button. You will be prompted for your serial number and installation name. Enter the serial number as it appears on your disk. Click OK when done. Proceed to the next page of the documentation for configuration instructions. |

If you have not purchased SDFax for your computer, you can try SDFax for a limited time. To install an evaluation copy, just proceed without entering the Register option. You do not need to click on the Register button at all for the trial copy. If you have used SDFax for more than the trial time period, you must purchase and install a licensed copy of the software.
