Window OptionsThe window options dialog box controls the behavior of the main window and the print queue windows.
Main Tool Bar Checking this option enables the tool bar across the top of the main window with buttons for various functions such as opening queue windows, and holding print jobs. Status Bar This option places a text bar across the bottom of the QView window that gives information about buttons on tool bars and menu items. Queue Window Tool Bar Checking this option enables a tool bar on each print queue window. This tool bar shows the queue status. Tile Wide & Tile Tall Causes the queue windows to be tiled to increase space horizontally or vertically. This only affects some tiling patterns. 8 windows will change the tile effect. 9 windows will not. Auto Re-Tile Causes the windows to be tiled if any window is closed or opened, or the main QView window is re-sized. Smart Screensaver If this item is checked, the default windows screen saver will be deactivated when print jobs are in any non-minimized print queue window. This feature may not work with third party screen savers. If this item is not checked, your screen saver will be unaffected by QView. Open Windows on Launch for Captured Queues If this item is checked, QView will open a queue window for each print queue that is attached to your LPT ports. These windows will be labeled "LPT1: QueueName" rather than the full name of the print queue, and will not be saved to the qview.ini configuration file. Minimize Empty Queue Windows When checked, this option will minimize queue windows if the queue is empty, and restore the window when a job appears in the queue. This feature works well with the Auto Re-Tile option. Prompt Before Manual Job Delete This item will cause QView to prompt the user before allowing a print job to be manually deleted. Prompt With Comments Before Queue Status Change QView can keep information for the users about the status of a print queue. When this item is checked, the user will be prompted to enter or clear comments associated with the print queue when they change the status of the queue. These comments can be viewed in the Queue Status dialog box. |
