Troubleshooting WindowsThe best source of information for troubleshooting issues is our FAQ page (Frequently Asked Questions) on our web site. Can't access "Print Job" configurations created with printcon.exe The first version of NWPSRV.DLL that was released with NetWare does not support some of the more advanced print job functions. If QView Pro notifies you that this DLL is out of date, you should update it with the one provided with the VLM workstation shell for NetWare v4.10. Configuration conflicts with QView Pro 2.x for DOS: QView Pro for Windows v3.x has some significantly different features that the previous v2.x version did not have. This includes NDS support. To allow the two versions to coexist on the same server, some changes were made to the DOS software. You should download QView Pro v2.32 or later from our web site if you plan to use the Windows version of QView Pro at the same time as the DOS version. Troubleshooting OS/2OS/2 Testing has been limited. The only problem we encountered was with SPX connections to print servers. This can cause a GPF error to occur when you try to show print server details, or when a queue window is opened. The problem appears to be caused by an incorrectly configured IPX/SPX protocol stack for OS/2-Windows. You can either correctly configure the protocol or add the line ShowPrintProgress=NO to the [GeneralOptions] section of the qvieww.ini file (and don't try to use the print server control dialog). We hope to add further information about protocol configuration for OS/2 in this section of the help file in the final release of this software. |
