Queue Status

The Queue Status dialog box allows you to modify the print queue's status, and view print servers attached to the print queue. To use this dialog box, select the Queue Windows you wish to modify (multiple selections are allowed). Next, set the status of the print queues as desired, and click on the Apply button to update each selected queue window.

Print Queue Status: This section covers the status of the print queue with the same options as Novell's pconsole.exe utility.

Operator Comments: When disabling or enabling a print queue, you can prompt the operator with comments about the queue. This is useful in a situation where several student workers are managing print queues and a system administrator wishes to have feedback about the reasons a queue was taken off line. This area of the dialog box will show you the current comment associated with the print queue if one exists. Use the Window Options dialog box to turn on prompting.

Queue Windows: This list box allows you to select which print queue windows will be affected by your changes. Select single or multiple windows before making your changes to the print queue status.

Apply>> Click on this button to update the settings of each selected queue window in the Queues listbox. Multiple queue windows may be selected.

Currently Attached Print Servers: This list box displays a list of print servers that are attached to the print queue selected in the Queue Windows list. This only supports single selections of queue windows.

Servicing Printers: This list shows a list of printers configured for the current print queue and print server (print servers may service many printers on multiple queues). The printers shown are currently configured to service the selected print queue. By double clicking on the printer item in the list, you can view the Printer Control Dialog box.
