Prompt on Status Change

QView Pro for Windows has the ability to maintain a comment field for each print queue window. The comment is readable by all users that are members of the QView Operators user group. Queue operators can use the comment record to keep information about the status of a print queue, and why it may be offline.

QView can prompt the operator for comments when the status of a print queue is changed. This feature is enabled in the Window Options dialog box. The above dialog box will be displayed when changing the comment.

Clear: Clears the current text in the comment editing field.

Cancel: Leaves the current comment in effect, and does not change the queue status.

Proceed: Updates the comment with the text in the edit field, and changes the queue status.

The comment information is stored on the file server, so any user of QView Pro may view the same comments.
