Overage Job ScanningQView Pro can help manage your print queues by scanning your print queues for stagnant print jobs. When a print job is found that has been in a queue for a long period of time, you can have QView Pro automatically remove it from the queue. If you have a print queue that is used as a holding area for jobs while a computer lab attendant moves jobs to print to another queue, this feature will help cut down the number of jobs in the holding queue. See the suggested setups section of this manual for more information on using queues as holding areas. Action Performed: QView can handle overage print jobs in several ways. Select the action performed from this list of options. The schedule and delay times are set in the Queue Control Options dialog box. The Move to: target is set in the Auto Move Options dialog box. The Delete (Non Active) will only remove a job that is not being serviced by a print server. Job Age: Set this to the size which QView Pro should consider to be overage. This setting is in minutes. Notify User: When an overage job is found, a message can be sent to the job owner. Check this option if the print job owner should receive messages when an overage job is found. Report Action To: When a overage job is found, a message is sent to the user or group specified in the message target field below. Click on the set button to select a user or group. Queue Windows: This list box shows a list of all open print queue windows. You may select single or multiple items in this list to change the operation of one or more queue windows. The (Default Settings) item is the settings that new windows will be opened with. Apply>> Click on this button to update the settings of each selected queue window in the Queue Windows listbox. Multiple queue windows may be selected. Changing settings for (Default Settings) will affect any new queue windows that are opened. |
