Move/Copy Job

QView can move or copy print jobs between queues if the queue has been installed with the qvinsw utility and the user using QView is a member of the QVIEW_OPERATORS user group.

Jobs can be moved or copied in several ways. The easiest way is to select the print jobs with the mouse and drag the jobs to another print queue. Holding the CTRL key down while dragging the jobs will cause QView to copy the jobs rather than move the jobs. A + mark will be shown in the drag cursor to show that this feature is active.

Dragging jobs within the same window will reorder the jobs.

The Move/Copy option in the Job menu will allow jobs to be moved as well.

After selecting the jobs to be moved, select the move/copy option from the Job menu. The dialog box shown above will appear. Select the print queue which you wish to move.

Copy Jobs: If checked, the job will be copied to the target queue rather than being moved.

Click on the Ok button when done. The move/copy job progress dialog box will appear (or be minimized depending on your settings of the Move/Copy Options).

Note: QView will allow you to drag and drop jobs to other applications such as write.exe. The file manager does not allow files to be dropped and saved to directories, however.
