Installing a File Server

Using the qvinsw16.exe application:

1) Pick the NetWare file server that your print queues reside on. Both NDS and Bindery are displayed as shown. Double click on File servers or NDS contexts to expand.

Click on the install button to install the server that is currently selected. The following dialog will be displayed.

A limited-time demo version will be installed if you do not have a licensed copy of QView Pro v3.x so please take heed of the time period which you have to evaluate this software.

If you have a licensed copy of QView Pro 3.x, you can enter the serial number in this dialog box. The serial number is provided on the software diskette.

Complete the fields for your name, and company information.

2) For NDS servers, the installer will need to add a list of queues to the Resource list for the server. You can view this list using the NetWare nwadmin utility for windows. The check box to make this list readable to the public is required for non-admin users to view the contents of this list.

After the file server is installed, you can install the print queues on the file server.
