Change Mounted Form

QView Pro can interact with Novell's pserver.nlm or pserver.exe. If your network is using pserver or a compatible print server, QView can display the Printer Control Dialog. From the printer control dialog, you can change the current form that is being serviced by the printer. Below is the Change mounted form dialog.

Enter the form number you wish to have mounted for the printer and click on the OK button. You must have print server operator status to use this option.

Abort print jobs

QView Pro can interact with Novell's pserver.nlm or pserver.exe. If your network is using pserver or a compatible print server, QView can display the Printer Control Dialog. If you have print server operator status, you have additional control over the way print jobs are processed.

From the printer control dialog, you can abort a print job. This will send a command to the NetWare Pserver and request the current print job be halted. From the Printer Control Dialog, you can control whether the aborted print job is removed from the queue or left for service at a later time.

When deleting print jobs from the queue window or Job details dialog, QView will check to see if the job is currently being serviced by a print server. If so, QView will attempt to send an abort print job command to the print server. If successful, the print server will purge its buffer as well as sending a form feed to the printer when the printing job is deleted.

If the service-restart flag is not set for the print job, it will always be purged if aborted. This flag can be set in the Job details dialog. Most client software will submit jobs to the print queue with this flag set. The only exception that we have found is Win95.
